A GROWTH OPPORTUNITY
Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
The Australian Energy Market Operator’s, Integrated System Plan estimates demand for over 60 gigawatts of energy storage by 2050 to off set the variability of wind and solar energy sources.
Enervest is capitalising on our engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) proficiency, extensive industry experience, and market acumen to develop a comprehensive portfolio of BESS assets across all regions within the National Electricity Market (NEM).
Electricity grids are transitioning from centralised to distributed systems.
Storage plays a significant role in dealing with ‘peaky’ demand, and the higher costs that energy users face during those peaks. Substantial investments and efforts are being expended to increase the availability and use of storage technologies – including grid-scale batteries and pumped hydro – to smooth out the availability of electricity generated from renewables at different times of the day.
